Key Ingredients
Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene)
Vitamin A helps to maintain eyesight, skin, membranes and immune function. Vitamin A is also used to help in the development and maintenance of night vision.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C, also called ascorbic acid, is one of the more powerful and well-known antioxidants for the maintenance of good health. Vitamin C helps in connective tissue formation and helps in wound healing. It also helps the body to metabolize fats and proteins.
Selenium
Selenium, which is a trace element found in soil, is required in small amounts for the maintenance of overall good health.
Bilberry
Bilberry is made from a small berry, much like a blueberry or cranberry. Bilberries have powerful antioxidant qualities. Bilberry contains flavonoids called anthocyanosides, which are found largely in dark-skinned fruits, and act as potent antioxidants in the body, maintaining a state of good health.
Green Tea Extract
Green tea has been known to help boost the immune system and fight off harmful free radicals while also promoting an overall better state of health. Green tea extract is a health-promoting antioxidant. It is rich in polyphenols that have been shown to promote health.
Ginkgo Biloba
Ginkgo biloba helps to support memory, brain function, mood, cerebral and peripheral circulation, and oxygenation and blood flow.
Milk Thistle
Milk thistle is used to promote liver health. It contains some of the most potent, liver-supporting substances known. Milk thistle has also been shown to protect against free radicals by acting as an antioxidant, protecting the liver and supporting the normal production of new liver cells.
FAQs
- What are free radicals and how does Oxgyen Extreme help fight against them?
Free radicals are formed in the body when weak molecular bonds in the body split, creating unstable cells in that can attack healthy cells. Left unchecked, this process in our bodies causes a chain reaction that can cause ongoing harm to our cells. While some of this process is natural – occurring normally during metabolism – the regular actions of our immune system and even exercise, environmental factors such as pollution, radiation, cigarette smoke and herbicides, can also spawn free radicals. Normally, the body can handle free radicals, but if antioxidants are unavailable, or if the free-radical production becomes excessive, oxidation can occur. Of particular importance is that oxidation caused by free radicals accumulates with age. By supplementing with Oxygen Extreme, you provide your body with a proprietary blend of antioxidants, vitamins and botanicals that help the body’s natural defense mechanisms so that your body can counteract the negative effects of free radicals. - How can the use of vitamins fight against free radicals?
Vitamin C is thought to protect the body against the negative effects of free radicals. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals by donating one of their own electrons, ending the electron-stealing reaction. The antioxidant nutrients themselves don’t become free radicals by donating an electron because they are stable in either form. They act as scavengers, helping neutralize free radicals. Vitamin C is also the most abundant water-soluble antioxidant in the body. It acts primarily in cellular fluid. It is particularly effective in combating free-radical formation caused by pollution and cigarette smoke. Vitamin A, a fat-soluble vitamin, helps support your body’s overall antioxidant defense. Part of a family of compounds including retinol, retinal and beta-carotene, vitamin A, also called beta-carotene or pro-vitamin A, has also been shown to help promote healthy night vision, support normal bone growth and a healthy immune system. - What is the best antioxidant to take?
There is not one single antioxidant that is most effective. In order to be effective there must be a team of antioxidants all working together; therefore, the best way to fight free radicals is with a collection of antioxidants. When you supplement with a team of antioxidants, you will find that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. That’s why Oxygen Extreme works so well, as it contains a unique blend of many antioxidants. - Can men and women take this product?
Yes. However, consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a history of non-melanoma skin cancer, if you are currently taking prescription medication, if you have an ongoing medical condition, or if you are pregnant or nursing. Keep out of the reach of children. - Are there any allergens associated with Oxygen Extreme?
It does contain soy; therefore, those who are sensitive to soy or allergic should consult their physician before taking this product.
